6K a year Job Description Summary Under general supervision, reviews medical records to ensure that records are complete and all appropriate documentation is present.
Reviews and processes request for information, scans documents accurately into EHR, assist internal and external customers and understands State/Federal laws pertaining to confidentiality and releasing protected health information.
Job Description The HIM Data Quality Analyst (DQA)/Medical Records Reviewer is responsible for maintaining the integrity of patient information by accurate and timely indexing/scanning documents into the electronic health records and performs quality checks to ensure documents are being scanned accurately.
The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for processing requests for information and maintaining confidentiality by adhering to state/federal laws and health system policies.
Good customer services skills are essential for this position for assisting internal and external.
HIM customers.
Performs a variety of duties for the Health Information Management Department to ensure records are complete and all appropriate documentation is present.
Education:
College Degree, High School or GED, AHIMA credentials RHIA/RHIT preferred Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
