Senior Programmer/Analyst

The Senior Programmer/Analyst is a key member of the Systems Development Team, is an experienced self starter who works effectively with little direction. This key resource is a solid number two who assumes responsibility in the absence of the Manager of Systems and Programming. The Senior P/A works in a Visual Studio 2012, Windows SQL, VB.NET and C# development environment and uses Team Foundation Server (TFS). This development resource works on both Client and internal development projects, and works to ensure timely fixes, upgrades and implementations of all deliverables. The Senior Programmer/Analyst works on multiple projects simultaneously, coding, participating in requirements gathering, design sessions and working directly with key users to ensure deliverables are fully understood.
Build new systems and interfaces and support existing systems and interfaces as required by our clients.
Program efficiently in SQL, VB.NET, ASP, SSRS, SSIS.
Develop and maintain quality systems documentation.
Gather user requirements and participate in systems design sessions
Build systems and interfaces in ways that facilitate easy turnover to IT Operations (Control Forms and easily followed procedures).
Create Ad Hoc reports for Senior Management
Be available for off hours support to help resolve critical issues.
A minimum of seven (7) years' experience as a programmer/analyst is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS/CIS is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of Data Modeling and SQL required. Must be proficient in all aspects of SQL Server and database design. Skills required are T-SQL coding, stored procedures, triggers and functions.
Experience with object oriented programming methodologies desired.
Knowledge of Web Services, SSAS, XML, SharePoint a plus.
Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) platforms a plus.
Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
