Quality Assurance Analyst II

Novara, a CHA Company, is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst II for our Norwell, MA office.
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for software testing across all of the company's software products. The role involves supporting customers and working closely with internal groups to identify and solve system issues and defects. Software Quality Assurance Analyst will have knowledge of various quality assurance testing practices and have the ability to outline and execute quality assurance testing plans. In this role, the individual will work closely with developers, business analysts, other quality assurance analysts, technical support managers, and project managers to improve the company's software products.
Execution of software testing ?Create, implement, maintain, and enhance software test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies. These processes will ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
Identification and analysis of defects and test results ? Document the chain of events leading to a failure and perform initial triage/analysis. Create set-up procedures and example data as needed to assist developers in reproducing and fixing failures.
Collaboration on software quality improvement ? Lead collaborative discussions with developers to improve overall software quality by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process, including through the improvement of documentation and development practices.
Improvement of software testing processes ? Seek ways to improve our testing processes by promoting process improvements and tool updates that allow our software to be tested more thoroughly and efficiently.
At least 2 years of enterprise software and quality assurance experience.
Strong understanding of the software development and testing process.
Experience writing and using automated test scripts and tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - strong ability to document test cases as well as the results of those test cases.
Ability to manage and maintain multiple concurrent projects.
Demonstrated ability to participate effectively as part of a team.
Experience in the utility, energy or pipeline industry is preferred.
Knowledge and experience with databases (SQL Server and Oracle) and the Microsoft stack of software development tools is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
