Quality Assurance Co-op

An Applications Quality Assurance Co-op (Intern) will serve in a supporting role. S/he will be working under guidance of a Senior Quaity Assurance Lead.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform Applications Testing of Clean Harbors developed applications
Research support tickets by looking at application code and SQL queries
Maintain product backlog lists using SCRUM methodology
Work with users to triage, assign and resolve support incidents based on severity and complexity.
Recommend tools and techniques to improve existing processes and applications
Participate as a Scrum team member and work on assigned PBI's and tasks
Write automated test scripts using UFT
Perform unit testing.
Resolve bugs and perform data fixes
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Currently a student pursuing Master's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or related degree.
Competencies:
Some experience with the Microsoft stack of technologies including SQL Server, ASP.net, C# and VB.net
Excellent communication skills are essential to success
Ability to understand business requirements and translate to technical requirements
Basic understanding of QA concepts
Great attitude and work ethic.
Strong desire to learn about the impact technology has on the business
Ability to understand issues as they relate to the business
Physical Requirements:
Requires sitting, speaking and listening.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects
Overtime may be required in order to meet project deadlines
Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meeting

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
